| The Delta Sigma Pi Pledge Program | ||||||
| The Pledge Education Program is designed to introduce pledges to the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity and the Iota Nu chapter. It is our hope that educating the pledges regarding various fraternity characteristics will create a sense of respect and appreciation for our organization. Though the program may seem rigorous at times, we offer a lot of support to our pledges via tools like the Big Brother Program. This program is implemented with the intention of matching suitable active brothers to pledges. These ‘Bigs’ become an extremely valuable resource throughout the Pledge Season, offering help studying for quizzes, encouraging attendance at chapter events, and more importantly by serving as a role model. Pledges are expected to fulfill various requirements throughout the Pledge Season as outlined in the Pledge Program and with the intention of furthering the individual’s knowledge of our organization. Such requirements typically include: weekly quizzes, interviews with active members, acquisition of faculty signatures, and the organization of and attendance at pledge-sponsored service, fundraising, social, and professional events. A Pledge Final is administered during the last week of the Pledge Season to measure the candidates’ understanding of Delta Sigma Pi. The Pledge Season concludes with an Initiation Ceremony to induct pledges as active members into the Iota Nu chapter. | ||||||
